The Kalgoorlie Kokoda Girls

Right now there are five amazing women from Kalgoorlie, slogging their hearts out on the Kokoda Track.

Joy Cooke, Karen Crook, Heather Lavery, Kathryn Paynter and Allison Puckett are all from Kalgoorlie where there is an RFDS base – and they know the value in having access to an aeromedical service.

The Kalgoorlie Kokoda Girls as they have become known, started out just talking about walking the Kokoda Track and decided to make it a community fundraiser for the RFDS as well as a personal challenge.

The group have set up a fundraising page and if you want to find out more and help them reach their goal of $25,000 (currently they are sitting at around $20,000!) just visit their Everyday Hero page and support them as they trek the 96km track.

Good luck Girls!
