Following the aborted first leg of the Flying 4 The Doctors flight across the Pacific from USA to Australia, which follows in the footsteps of Australian pioneer aviator, Charles Kingsford-Smith, a new take-off time has been announced.
“We spoke to Jeremy and Jim in the US today,” confirmed Jane Austin, General Manager of Marketing & PR for the Royal Flying Doctor (SE Division) and they told us that they’d re-scheduled the flight for 6am Monday 11th April, (midnight AEST).”
“The faulty radio that caused them to turn back has been fixed and they’re confident that everything is ready to go.”
“They said that the plane was handling beautifully and are looking forward to the challenge.”
“We wish them the best of luck and a safe journey.”
“We’re looking forward to seeing some footage of the flight when they get to Hawaii.”
